Well, Achilles is portrayed as a great warrior who is screwed over by Agamemnon.

Playing devils advocate, why is the right thing to send the girl back to a situation she ran away from?

I disagree. It was Hector's bravery to face Achilles knowing his death was a certainty that lit a spark in Paris that led him to nut up enough to shoot Achilles in the heel.

Achilles killed himself when he killed Hector. Achilles was a bitch.

You are certainly in the minority with your opinion.

But I respect it, Achilles acts more emotionally and moody than a teenage girl for most of the epic

One of the great stories about war of all time. A movie adaptation has yet to be made that does it justice.

They’re about to try again right?

There’s just too many characters to make it work between soldiers, gods, and kings

Not sure. I noped out of Troy after just a few minutes once I saw a glammed up Brad Pitt and the lush photography.

The Illiad requires someone willing to strip away most of the artiface and let the true horrors and gruesomeness of war take front and center.

If you watch Troy just to be entertained and not expecting an actual retelling of the story it’s not a bad movie IMO

Troy honestly just felt too hammy to me.

Back to the point, whenever I think of Hector, I always imagine Thallo from Clash of the Titans:

I want an Illiad movie that gives it the gritty Saving Private Ryan opening treatment but throughout the entire movie.

Maybe Christopher Nolan will tackle it next.
