Poll claims 20% of millenials "identify" as LGBT

Just saw this on the poli board and had to get the OTs opinion. This can't be accurate can it? I know we give these kids a hard time but this number is really high.
Are millenials really this gay?

It's popular to identify as gay. I don't for one second think 20% of this group would identify as gay 20-30 yrs ago. Not even privately.

It used to be that one in every ten men is gay but studies and polls showed it is even lower than that.

Or maybe the social stigma associated with homosexuality has been largely lifted so people aren't as afraid to be open about their sexuality? 20% may be high but maybe not absurdly so.

There are several at my daughter's high school, but it's nowhere near 20 percent. Between 5 & 7 percent more than likely.

I'd say more like 15%, but a lot of chicks say they are bi because it is the "in" thing to do. They aren't really bi, and will never date or hook up with another girl
I saw girls starting to be bi for a little while shortly after I graduated high school in 02. It lasted a year or two for each one, and then they went back to being straight all of the time.
I am a millennial by age, so pretty much everyone I hang around is of that age group. I'm also single, so I get out and meet tons of girls. My sampling says 15%

I am extremely pro gay rights, but there is no way 20 percent is LGBTQ.
