re: Poll: 62% of Americans Say They Have Political Views They’re Afraid to Share

Frankly, I feel I'll be fired if I question some of the wokeness my company has mentioned (which hasn't been much)

We're the silent majority. We're not prone to violence. We respect other peoples opinions......and we vote. Especially we don't go around choking a two year white toddler (or black for that matter) with our knee just to infuriate those who disagree with us politically.

What views could the left possibly have that they’re afraid to share? They openly advocate racism against white people, beating up Trump supporters, getting rid of police, and giving hormones to little kids to “affirm their gender identity”.

If that’s what they state openly, what could they possibly say privately that they’re too afraid of to say publicly?

It's like what happened when David Duke ran some years ago. The polls said he didn't have a chance, but in the privacy and secrecy of the voting booth, over 60% of white voters in Louisiana voted for him.

I had my fist political poll call two weeks ago.

I lied my arse off. I’m not telling the Democrat doing the poll I object to their sick beliefs. If they have my number, they can get my information and dox me. I told that stupid bitch I loved BLM and hoped they killed more cops. She was so giddy when I said that. I just told her what she wanted to hear then hung up politely.

It is important we have the secret ballot. Conversely, it's also important to have the right publicly endorse a prospective public servants you think will serve us best. These are nearly opposite, but complementary rights that help keep democracies healthy.

Just because you're allowed to do a thing does not mean it beneficial to do that thing early and often. Sharing political views can help you or hurt you, but it cuts both ways.

Operating in non-partisan fashion is the way to go; let others judge you by your own merit, not by how closely you agree politically. You don't scare off reasonable people close to the center, and the only relationships you miss out on are those requiring political allegiance and loyalty to something potentially toxic, lame or dumb.

Far left fascists aren't subject to cancel culture. Their actual racist beliefs are okay. Your perceived beliefs are not.

I've been told it's about reading between the lines. You may not say anything racist, but you're still a racist and should be cancelled.


Now, I can't fathom why 62% of Americans would be afraid to share their political views.....

ESPN anchor Sage Steele has told management she believes she was excluded from a special the network aired on race last month because she wasn’t considered by certain Black colleagues to be an authentic voice for the Black community, a person familiar with the matter said.

Ms. Steele, one of the network’s most prominent on-air personalities, voiced her concerns to ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro in early June, saying the incident showed the network has a divisive work environment, the person said.

Ms. Steele said colleagues told her she was considered for the special by the executive in charge, Michael Fountain, until two of the other on-air personalities involved, Elle Duncan and Michael Eaves, complained, saying Ms. Steele wouldn’t be accepted by what they considered the Black community, according to the person familiar with her account to management.

Ms. Steele’s critics on social media have accused her of not being supportive enough toward the Black community and being insensitive in her comments about racial-justice protests.
