Kessler's? You were either in Miller or Aberdeen. Groceries cost more in rural SoDak than they do in the more populated areas of the state.
I remember being in Webster, SD ice fishing and visiting the grocery store there and was blown away by how expensive everything was. When you are the only grocer in town and the next closest place to shop is an hour away you have a captive audience and don't need to run sales.

None of those 4 words describe me. I’m a little tight but that’s only because it’s relative to how loose other people are.

Post the reciept. Lets see what you bought
6 burger patties
Buns
Loaf of bread
4 pounds sandwich meat
Chicken stock
Granola bars
Trail mix
Two bags of BBQ lays
Breakfast sausage sandwiches
2 cases of water
Potatoes salad
Cole slaw
Tony’s
Two cases of beer
Cheese
We brought up frozen red beans and frozen pheasant gravy and a bag of rice. So two of our meals we didn’t even purchase anything for

I didn’t say that. All I said was let’s see the receipt.
You’re really overboard with emotions now. Usually engineers are unemotional. Least the ones I know.

Yeah. Do it like the other demographics do or watch it all fade away.

I'm interested to see you nit pick the above grocery list.

so going to let you in on a little secret....reading text...it does not have or show emotion. You read it in your head how YOU feel.
im not emotional or angry or anything of the sort
as far as what he bought, you prolly gonna tell him to cut
bottle water
beer
chips
chicken broth
but a middle class guy should be able to buy those things without worry, they could in the past.

What are you trying to teach. Your only real contribution to this thread has been going on and on about how it's abnormal for people travel domestically for a long weekend vacation.
Which, despite claiming it over and over and over, you've yet to provide any evidence of such.

It is one of the larger cities but it's kind of on an island in the northern part of the state.
On the eastern side of the state the cities are closer together. Closer to Sioux Falls there are tons more options and competition for business.
