Yeah, this person is wasting everyone's time.
First of all, even if a username reveals the identity of the person who created the account, that doesn't mean that person actually posted information. Someone can come to anyone of our homes and gain access to our cell phone, ipad or laptop and get on here and post something under our usernames..
Then if TD would have to give up personal information then that would have to apply to all social media platforms right? After all, anyone can create a fake account on social media and then post information that could be damaging.
That's on top of the Communications Decency Act that is stated in the news article.
And if he is in a runoff, why not wait until after the election is over? It makes you look weak and if the information that was posted is no longer available or people don't see what was posted, it would be easy for people to assume the information was negative which could change the mind of potential voters.
