Good point. The Aussies banned firearms about a decade ago. This makes them more vulnerable than the US.

I don't think firearm bans help or hurt.
I think it is less likely in the US, not because of firearm laws, but because of our better police, FBI, and even CIA presence here.

There is really nothing you can do to hinder incidents like this if there isn't some communication with a larger entity or some chatter to pick up.
I'm surprised lone wolf shite hasn't become more pervasive, but my guess is that the ambitions of those who want to engage in terrorism tend to be higher than the type of small events that could be taken pretty easily.

Exactly. It isn't like average joe is going to grab his gun and go do something about a hostage situation. That would only make things worse. As the posts above states, these things can pretty much happen anywhere if you get past our intelligence agencies.

These animals won't stop. The world must act swiftly and without impunity. 100 eyes for an eye. That's the only thing they understand.
I say let them have their caliphate, get cozy and group up and then wipe them off the face of the earth in mass numbers.
Diversity once made the country great, now diversity makes this country weak in some aspects.

True but what will three armed locals in Applebees be able to do against 4 5 or 6 ISIS well armed men? Probably not a whole lot I hate to say. Go down blazin, but everyone will go down and ISIS is prepared to die.
Carry on anyhow open or concealed

Muslim SOP. Raise hell and damand the culture bend over baskwards to suit you, under the guise of multiculturalism.
Until Muslims reach 50%+1. Then it's Sharia law.

You think the terrorists are going to let these people live? This isn't a bank robbery.
