I wonder if he is former military. Looks like he has cleared a building or two while others around him hesitated some and looked to him on what to do next.
Thats what leadership looks like. Take the initiative, provide direction, move forward, motivate your troops

Doesn’t take much to confidently believe which one people stand a better chance of escape and fighting back against.
dude footballers are held hostage in their homes and cars in the uk with long knives.
in south africa people are using paintball guns and rubber bullets because its hard to actually get a license to own a gun
youve got to remember you dont have a gun or weapon either in this situations.

The thing I noticed about Rex is that he grabbed his gun and ran. No extra ammo, no nothing. Those guys should consider carrying an extra mag on their weapons for that type of situation.
Extra MAGs were probably on his person/vest/kit already.

Yea if you’re the guy going in a hot situation like that without extra mags you’re probably working on your résumé right now.

I know these guys names and pictures will get a ton of pub, but every one of those guys on those sweep teams deserve credit also.
All running towards gunfire. Hats off to all of these men.

You taking my funny comment too seriously. It's more of a nervous funny, like a nervous uncomfortable funny. Nothing literally funny about it, just weird nervous "funny"

Vortex razor 1-6 with a MGM switch view. I bet Travis Gibson jizzed in his pants watching that video. Looks like he might have been rocking a 45 degree dot for the actual shots as well.

Hate to even think about those shots that went off before they got there.
I was cringing and thinking about the families when I heard the perp’s gunfire being caught on the bodycam video but thankfully it was unsuccessfully shooting at the cops through the window where the cops found and terminated it.
I doubt they would have released the video had it been actual victims being shot, at least one would hope so.

Absolute balls of steel. As soon as they heard the shots they took off running, and it's not like they knew only one shooter was legit.

After watching both videos, I’d be Shocked if both of those guys aren’t ex military.
They moved with purpose, and almost looked comfortable doing it.
I believe it’s probably hard to train that into folks outside of the military.

That shooter isn't being "brave" anymore

No you are correct .
Low powered variable optic. Usually a 1-6 or 1-8 power optic. I run a vortex strike eagle on one of my builds.
For what they were doing there probably isn’t a better choice. Lets you adjust from anywhere between a 5yd shot and a 100+ yd shot in a split second. Officer Rex clearly has had training and knew exactly what he was doing.
Horrible situation but he put on a clinic on how to handle it.
