Good one, Baw.

They are already planning on how to steal the money they take from LEO's.

If you don't already have a network of armed buddies and a plan, as loose as it may be, you are already screwed.
Me and mine will come pillage your stuff first.

The police are going Blackwater. The rich will be protected, the poor will suffer. Nothing will change.

Already have armed private security patrol in my neighborhood. They can and do detain suspects but do have to wait for NOPD or OLB police to make an arrest. The fees are collected by the City tax assessor's office.

The liability issues would be too much.
You'd be getting sued constantly.

Mine went up at the state level so I really didn't see much benefit.

At least there would be little to no police to arrest me.

There will always be federal law enforcement. Besides the IRS doesn't send police, they send lawyers.

I'd rather police.

Oh, I wouldn't sweat that. If things really get to that point, the courthouse will have already been burned to the ground, anyway.

How much violent crime do you think police encounter?

Govt is already demonizing this group in New Mexico, and punishing them to the fullest extent of the law. An example must be made.

Insurance would be astronomical.

Has NOLA city hall stopped neighborhoods from hiring city police to patrol in the off hours when neighbors feel that crimes are potentially higher? The old rent a cop that used to be used by movie productions and even by people moving in and out, and to protect guests going to private homes for wedding receptions.

A couple of the most insufferable people I know on this issue live in an exclusive gated community with an armed guard at the gate.
