The lawsuits after this shite fest of authoritarian power are going to clog the courts for years.

Guess a lot of people will start taking bears out their windows now

Hopefully it results in many of these mayors and governors getting shitcanned too.

When was the last time you checked? I’m fairly certain CNN is running a story about that soon

This morning, some local yokel cop on Facebook was indirectly threatening people who want to go out for a drive after curfew.

State police spokesman Ryan Tarkowski said Friday the woman initially was pulled over because of a vehicle code violation.
This is the "best" part of the story.
Son of a bitch pulled her over and no doubt waived the social distancing requirement for himself to perform some rinky dink most definitely non-essential function and then tags her for being out and about while observing social distancing.

I no longer believe this. I use to think that people would rise up against tyranny, most cops would fight back etc. But seeing how quickly the population fall in line and give up their rights with a little fear. Yeah if the day came most people would fold and turn in their guns and the cops would come after the rest. Just don't have a lot of faith in the majority of our population to put up much of a fight.

If i got pulled over for going for a drive, I would probably end up in jail ?
Same here, Im doing what I can to support the social distancing and stay at home ordinances. The only time I go out is when I need groceries. But besides that I run around my neighborhood a few times a week. And I go for a drive at least once I week. Neither of those activites require me to come into contact with anyone at all unless my wife is with me.
So yes I will absolutely lose my shite if GA cops decided to do the same thing.

I go to work, I come home, when I work off I go to my GFs house to stay until I go back to work.
If I go out for anything else it’s to a drive thru for lunch otherwise I stay home.
I’m sure I’ve either already had it or been exposed especially since I’m still required to go to work.

They should have been doing this weeks ago
So, instead of letting a person stay isolated in their car, they should stop them and add to the many unavoidable person-to-person interactions that cop has?
How many homeless, mentally ill, or otherewise fringe people outside the medical system entirely is a cop forced to deal with as part of his job?
Now you're connecting that population through the cop to a population who is doing one of the few safe things to keep from going stir-crazy.

Oh? You think she should have shot the cop?
It's why being careful who you vote for is important.

I live in PA and I can say without a doubt that is a very isolated incident based off what I have seen. Sounds like one cop taking it too far.

Small town police chief on Facebook pulled out the trusted, “The way I see, if you have a legitimate reason for being out after hours, it should not pose a problem being stopped”.
How fricking frightening is that in America from a chief of police?
