I should have made the O/U higher.

Yeah there's already a thread on it. You are late to the party

Just call it a snowstorm.

Makes sense says law of averages since our winter has been arse thus far

It’s so fricking retarded when they just make up words for dramatic effect.

That won't get clicks and shared links.

Is this a big deal or something, I've seen 2 threads about it.

Keep that shite out of the Baton Rouge area. The novelty of snow lost its lustre the last couple of times we had it.

Let is snow, let it snow……..

We typically end up on the edges of them here in Kentucky when they drop down from the Midwest.
And it can be a big deal depending on how cold it gets. In 2022 we got 2-3 inches of snow but the wind chill got down in -20s. And it was like a 50 degree drop in 24 hours.
It sucked. And froze our water lines, not in the house, but out at the main near the road.

No one “made up” that word for dramatic effect. Polar Vortex was coined by meteorologists back in the 1940s to simply describe a rotating air mass that originated in the polar regions.
The national media heard the phrase a decade ago, latched onto it, and has pumped it into every potential major winter storm since then.

Mid Jan, supposed to be cold.

Tragic. How many deaths due to dehydration?

I hope it sets records, because on January 9 I get on a plane to the Bahamas for 15 days of work.
