Not at all. I see the utility in carrying a knife everyday for some jobs. I just can’t see why I or most other people that work office jobs would need to carry a knife when there’s a pair of scissors in the desk.

You sit at a desk 24/7?

What do you all do that you need a knife on your person at all times? I can understand why it would be useful for some outdoor manual labor type jobs, but I’ve seen people with office jobs carrying knives on them.

Carry one for a while. You’d answer your own question in a week or two.

My favorite amongst them all for EDC is Spyderco Delica 4.

I have tried near every brand. 30 years of carrying. 14 years in the Army. Gerber, Benchmade, Case, Buck, CRKT, Kershaw & even versus other spyderco (ie: native 5).....I carry my Delica 4 everywhere.

I hate the name, love the knife.

And if youre a man, theres something satisfying about having a knife with you, no matter how small.

What does this even mean?

I sit in an office and recieve letters. I use a letter opener to open my letters. If something is in “that damn plastic packaging everything comes in” then someone else takes care of that for me. What they use, I don’t care, but I’m certainly not going to spend the time fricking around with things that require a knife.

Benchmade AFO2.

Big for everyday carry, but I am skilled at losing small things.

Maybe the most pretentious thing ever written on the OT. And that is saying something.

LOL at you rednecks with collections of pocket knives that you "rotate through". As mentioned before, there's no reason to have more than a single pocket knife and to only grab it when you're going fishin or outdoors or somewhere that you'd need it.

Also, people's rationale for having a pocket knife was fricking opening letters or cutting through packaging?!?! First, who gets that many letters a day? Second, who the hell doesn't just open a letter with their finger?!? This is before we even address the fact that most corporate offices don't allow their employees to carry knives.

Proud redneck here, but I don’t work in an office and live on some land.

What kind-of pocket knife do you carry?

Lately this is what I've been carrying. Kershaw Barricade.

It was given to me by my stepson for Father's Day.

It's a great knife. It'll shave a hair.

Case
Case knives are something that old folks love but compared to new knives, are pretty damn sorry.

Case would be wise to upgrade their steels and step into the 21 century in that regard. There are so many better steels than what they use.

Here is my latest purchase:

Used to carry a Kershaw Blackout. I now carry a Kershaw something, i think it’s the Blur but am unsure. Love/loved both of these knives. The blackout was my favorite and I’m still pissed I lost it
