i don't think the search thing is accurate. 99% of my posts that show up on the PT board started somewhere else.

I may have posted 5 times on there.

When have I been there? I remember going at least once to see because of what people say about it. But no, I don't go there, I dont't post there. Was it this year? I do the OT, tigerrant, sec rant, and some specialty board if I need.

In any case, the point is you need to check yourself, too. If you see people say, hey yea the left is out of control and specifically they have institutional backing, and your response is that they're a crazy Q person who hates democracy then you're as much the problem as anyone. The lefties have been raging for a good decade now. Q stuff is a recent phenomenon, born of watching the left get away with shite.

That's my point. There have always been outliers, but the left went way crazy first, they have cultural and establishment cover and backing, and other than the fifteen skinheads that still exist, the right going into conspiracy theories is largely because they keep getting disenfranchised so there's nowhere else to go. When someone says most of what we were told about the vax was a lie (true), and you say "conspiracy theory!" then you're just living your bubble out loud. You're the same damn thing you cry about. At best, it's deflection. Idk man, sometimes it's alright to recognize where currents are going and to recognize the engine on the boat is broken, even if the trolling motor is, too.

The OT is very conservative by any metric other than compared to PT. Where do you idiots get the idea that the OT is filled with leftists and progressives?

I’m the EXACT same thread I told you where I “got the idea from” - comparison to other message boards. I even cited examples. Cognitive dissonance ITT is not a surprise and backs everything I said. You don’t have to get butthurt though. Although I don’t have proof, I would bet the average demographic of TD’s are millennials.

It's pretentious insanity to compare Musk's task at Twatter with Chicken's TD forum to ANY degree.

Chicken is merely requesting some simple, logical forum "Clean Up."

The only way to fix anything is better moderation.

FB and Dorsey's old Twatter is ------> THAT way.

Get bent on any stifling, over-officious overlording. NOT NEEDED.

ETA: Forum Moderation has been more than adequate IMO. Letting the players play is the best policy for interesting / vigorous debate and exchange. (save for egregious forum "QB hits")

Speaking of avoids, why can't people just scroll past OT topics that wade into politics? I've been on the OT for a long arse time, and I don't see the front page littered with political topics. There are a few, true, but it isn't overloading the board. Are posters here really that weak that they can't just scroll on? The answer is yes.

You stated:

quote:

Nobody is arguing what you’re claiming about free speech suppression, in the way you frame it. It’s an outright lie

This example is on the first page.

quote:

wow, even chicken is silencing conservative voices now. does the 1st amendment mean anything anymore?

This example is your own post response on the bottom of Page 8.
quote:

OP "Chicken I hope you are reading these responses. There is one overriding point being made, the issue is the Poli Board."

So your solution is to censor opinions on the poliboard?

There are more if you care to wade through the thread.

I also said "Assuming one's reasoning skills are consistent,"

You should try that some day.

That doesn't hold up when they're started by posters who exclusively start threads on PT.

For someone who doesn't post on PT, you post exactly like someone who posts on PT.

Maybe you just forgot to log in to your other account and accidentally hit it with your "above the fray" account. It happens.

I see threads here daily about kids being maimed, raped, murdered, etc. I don't scream at Chicken to remove them, I just avoid clicking on the link.

HHTM, OMLandshark, and several others will start threads on the PT and post the same thing on the OT two minutes later. That shite needs to stop.

No one is “butthurt”. You said the the OT is now mostly progressive millennials which is completely ridiculous and not based on reality.

It’s the leftists that come in here wanting more moderation of the poliboard itself so they can ban the conservatives they don’t agree with that is the issue. Multiple people in this thread have already stated it.

Because there is a large number of threads that initially have nothing or should have nothing to do with politics that end up being cluttered with political comments because people just can't help themselves.
