I literally grew up my entire life hating the Soviet Union and hating Communism, as a GenXer I was practically programmed that way. I still don't like them after their fall. They are weak and I think what they are doing currently is wrong and to let the results play itself out.
I actually served to defend our country from the Russians. The "whole kill a commie for mommy mantra and everything." The thing is when you look at the other board (PT) and I can't speak for all but there are a ton of ex-military just like myself. They hate our involvement. Mostly for tax reasons but we are also poking a bear that's not doing anything to us. Outside of using nukes we would crush the shite out of Russia conventionally. Let them fight their war. Ukraine is not a NATO country. Let's protect our border and spend the hundreds of billions on OUR own weapons, troops, and veterans. In fact, the money could be used to militarize our border like they do in Israel.
TL;DR Your enthusiasm to support a war (is an approval for the President to keep on shelling out our money) and is in direct conflict with my tax money.
