Somehow, this thread became a pissing match between people who drive expensive pickups and those who don't. I love the OT.

I've loved my pickups. If history holds, I'll have bought two F-150s in about 35 years. I haven't bought the Platinum model, but not far from it. If you spend less than $90K on new cars over 3 and a half decades, you're doing okay with car expenses.

I've used the hell out of my trucks for a variety of reasons. If you've never driven one, you're talking about shite that you know nothing about.

The dealership I purchased from was running a pretty solid, limited time deal and none of the King Ranches had it. I almost went with the King Ranch but the ACC was the difference. Man, that thing is unbelievable.

Paid 34,500 out the door, got those frickers down 1700$. Had 36k miles on it. Took a seven year note on it, but the difference between it and the five was only 1500$ in interest rather then an extra 150-200$ on the monthly payment.
