Used to be able to buy a dodge viper for $70k. Now it just gets you a pickup and a Yeti.

oh I'm not trying to be some Dave Ramsey dickhead about it. I mean a car- generally- is a poor use of capitol. But a necessary use nonetheless. Lets face it, spending $50 on a bottle of bourbon isn't exactly prudent, but its easily rationalized as is the expense of a luxury vehicle.

Agreed. It's a terrible use of money at these levels, but I spend money poorly on a daily basis, so who am I to throw stones?

So does my Range.

Have fun replacing those bags in 30,000 miles. They look A)way too small and B) cheap.

Even better, the guy that designed it is telling his design is better than the competition. What a surprise.

He has very little to gain by trying to sell me on a truck that he had no part in designing or working on.

Why'd you even buy the F150 in the first place?

It looked really good in the showroom.

You must drive a 4 ton, $75,000 miniature diesel locomotive to and from work because you never know when you might need 900 plus ft lbs of steel twisting torque to get through that nasty pothole in front of your daughter's daycare.

Ford F250s keep diesel repair shops in business. You can buy a decent Japanese compact car as an escape pod for what some of the repair bills are on those things.

It is a ford. The valve gasket seal failed with less than 5000 miles. I kept smelling burnt earl (oil) every time the truck approached operating temp took it to the dealership and they said it was the valve cover gasket. Other than that other little bull shite touch screen stop working on the right half that was also replaced. I been to the dealership 3 times for failures.

love statements like this. I hear the same thing said by the ford enthusiast about Chevy/Dodge. Dodge guy says same shite about Ford/Chevy and so the cycle goes.
And you can shove your Tundra up your arse till Toyota offers a 1 ton or 3/4 ton version.

at which point I'll get one.

I didn't pick the GC. She got that before we got married. Would've been an XC90 otherwise.

Also, my Range is perfectly fine. I've had 0 computer issues.
