Delgado issued a reminder:
quote:

Dear Friends and Former Colleagues,

Here is some information that I thought you might find useful for tonight's meeting:
Anyone disrupting a public meeting “to the extent that orderly conduct of the meeting is seriously compromised” may be removed. See La. R.S. 42:17

"Interruption of any lawful assembly" is a crime punishable by up to 90 days in jail. See La. R.S. 14:103

Conducting a sit-in or protest on public property without a permit or "remaining in or occupying of any public property after having been requested to leave" is a crime punishable by fine of "not more than five hundred dollars or [imprisonment] of not more than six months, or both." See La. R.S. 14:329.4 and 329.7

Enjoy your evening... I'll be watching on Channel 21 for as long as I can tolerate it!

Yours,
JMD

Yep, Salomoni was their only target, now they want both.

We should all go downtown and protest the Parish Council putting the COA proposition on the ballot and that might make them think twice before they enable the tax to go in effect.

Hopefully the Oathkeepers show up. That would be sweet.

They better show up unarmed though, lord knows that won't be tolerated.

And if it is "tolerated", I'm sure the Gravy Navy will cause a disruption.

Now that he's not on the Metro Council or running for Mayor he's letting it fly on FB.

On April 12th, GC was upset that the Council was "standing in the way of the will of the people" because they wanted to postpone the levi of the tax for the COA until the state's audit findings were released. Back then, he said the black Council members "shut it down" which resulted in a 60 day delay and we got the see the audit anyway.

First, what a fricking hypocrite. Second, I doubt this works out any better than that attempt almost 1 month ago.
