Was it an Ice Cream plane?

I’m gonna say the guy in the left seat didn’t check the fuel level before he took off and had to ditch after running out of 100LL.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing!

scoop?
I did some research.
quote:
Two people, the owner of the plane and a flight instructor, were on board and neither person was injured, according to EMS spokesman Mike Chustz. The plane was on approach to land at the airport when its engine failed, forcing the pilots to crash land, BTR spokesman Jim Caldwell said. The owner of the plane was renewing an advanced qualification for pilots when the engine failed, Caldwell said.

Lost their engine and didn’t have enough altitude to make to runway
