He’s blaming Biden and DEI to avoid responsibility for it happening during his presidency.
That may be, but if so, it's completely unnecessary. He'd be doing it out of defending his ego because no objective person would blame this accident on an administration that's been in power for 10 days, and those that would should just be ignored. But as we all know, ignoring any dissent, rational or irrational, is very difficult for him.

This isn’t Trump’s fault in any way, shape for form.

Seems to depend on his mood. At times he can be charismatic. Other times you wonder if he's on the spectrum

I may have missed it, but did they give the helo a direction for conflicting traffic?
Yes in the first transmission was “PAT25, traffic just south of Woodrow bridge, a crj, it’s 1200 feet, setting up for runway 33”
They then respond saying that had the aircraft in sight and request visitation separation.. it’s possible, and at this time likely, he saw the wrong aircraft. Then he was asked again after the conflict alarms are going off in the tower and they said they had it in sight again.
The only question I have is why wasn’t the Blackhawk traffic called to the regional jet. Granted, they probably wouldn’t have seen them anyways. I also don’t know tower environment procedures or their requirements for calling traffic.

While also acknowledging that the spike in incidents on Biden's watch that accompanied and insane preoccupation with DEI is more likely to have something to do with how we got to yesterday than anything Trump has done in his weeklong Presidency
DEI can be blamed for a lot, but not this.
Use some actual critical thinking.

Reading some of the back and forth things in this thread, prompted me to go down a rabbit hole or two. If you don't mind, who typically is in the cockpit, a pilot?, a co-pilot?, a navigator?, first officer?.
What are the functions on typical take offs, mid flight and landings?
Depends on the airplane & duration of flight.
Speaking in general terms, there is a captain & first officer (co-pilot). One pilot serves as the “pilot flying” - in charge of controlling the aircraft (takeoff, landing, altitude, speed, etc.). The other pilot serves as the “pilot monitoring” - in charge of radios, verification of PF inputs, & responsible for configuration changes at the request of the PF (gear, flaps, etc.) These roles typically will alternate every leg, or every 2 legs.
On wide body aircraft doing long haul flights, you’ll also have at least one relief pilot (typically another first officer) who will take a turn in the flight deck while the other pilots alternate rest breaks. Relief pilots are in the cockpit during takeoff & initial climb, & also for approach/landing. The roles of PF/PM change in the middle of the flight to accommodate rest breaks, but typically return to the original setup for landing. 777Tiger has oceans more experience with this than I do, so maybe he can chime in as well.

Idiot on CNN ranting about "as a flight instructor" training shou!dnt be conduct in that airspace. Military "training sortie" DOES NOT mean somepne.was.beong instructed how to fly damn it!
Please stop spreading this misconception.
The continuity of government mission likely just means helo crew's typical operational mission was transporting leaders. They were simply conducting an annual evaluation to certify they can keep flying those routine missions.

Unless they were disoriented how would they mistake the plane for another? The controller told them where it was and it's altitude and direction of travel.

So tragic. His whole life in front of him and his fiancée without her future husband with her world flipped upside down, all from an avoidable accident.

This blows up any idiot twitter pilot thinking the plane on R1 that departed and was seen on the video could be the plane the Blackhawk crew was watching

Watch the ATC track. Imagine it from helo perspective. Likely they either
A) mistook visual for second aircraft in trail. And called separation based on wrong aircraft on a similar heading.
B) Or, they thought they had a clear flight path but mistook visual cues because the approaching aircraft was turning and descending into their block and flight path.
