Lol. So was this one, supposedly. But it just happened to get past its owner to cross a yard and street to attack kids.

Good luck owning your time bomb. I hope it doesn’t injure or kill your loved ones when it decides to go off. When it does, you can blame yourself.

I agree with you.

I am a responsible dog owner and accept full responsibility for my dogs and any issues or damage they cause.

You might be right in the end, but as of right now, my experience says otherwise. She just got tucked into her blanket for the night. Pretty domesticated. For now.

If it was legal I'd have no problem shooting every one on sight.

And I love dogs.

*A pit once found out why Shar Peis have loose skin when one attacked mine. Was very surprised when all it got was a mouthful of skin and fur while my dog simply turned and grabbed it's throat.

Responsible people don’t own pit bulls. Period. Full stop.

Well sir, I admit I misread your OP. At first glance it seemed as if you were a pit bull owner uniting your tribe against the rest of us.

My apologies. Blame it on the NyQuil.

77% of dog cases of killing humans are pitbulls despite making up 6% of the dog population. I don't care what any dog owner says at all, they are born genetically with a predisposition to aggression. There aren't bad enough owners in the world to account for a 60% on 6% data, not to mention every other dog breed has bad owners as well too.

I for one have no problem anyone shooting them on site regardless if they are doing anything bad. However sweet the owner thinks they are, they are still at any time likely to attack kids. If one did that to mine, I'd immediately tackle and cut its throat

Pitbull data

I think this would end with unintended consequences. If you eliminate the Pits you have done nothing to eliminate the people that want aggressive and intimidating dogs. They will simply move on and destroy another breed or breeds. If you think a Pit can do damage to a human it is nothing compared to what a Cane Corso, Kangel, or Dogo Argentino could do bred with the same eye for aggression. They all three have a bite force at least double that of a Pit and are bigger, stronger, and faster. It would be trading a .380 for a .44 Mag you don't want to get shot by either but given the choice you will take the .380 slug all day everyday.

Imagine this masticating on your thigh at over 700 psi.

ETA I should have included the Bully Kutta in the list but god help us if the trashy owners found out about them. They would be the nuclear option and already bred for fighting.

Pitbull responsible for 77% of human deaths while 6% of dog population

Pitbulls are responsible for 77% of human deaths while making up 6% of dog population. Whatever you think or whatever amount of time you've spent with your pit, it is still easily capable of attacking a child. If a pit kills a child, owners should have to serve a murder sentence, 35+ years. Dog without question should have ever living daylights beat out of it before it is in a chokehold.

You are implying what that logic that it is solely owner's fault that pitbulls are aggressive. This isn't true. Read link of my previous comment just one above here. Pitbulls are responsible for 77% of dog on human death despite making up 6% of dog population. No drastic difference that massive can ever be attributed to human training. When the stats are that vastly different, exponentially overrepresented in a certain area and pretty much make up every human death, that solely lies on genetic predisposition. Ugly dogs, ugly behavior. All should be impounded.

I believe it. The ER charge nurse (second visit to ER for second round of rabies shots) said if he's seen 200 dog bites since he has been at the ER, 199 of them were from pit bulls.

My dad was vet. I never met an animal that didn't have a natural affinity for him (or me, for that matter). Pit bulls were one of two breeds he would not work on and that had bitten him. Rottweilers were the other.
