Pineville has been declared the “State’s Cleanest City” for the 11th time in the span of 16 years by the Louisiana Garden Club Federation.

Pineville was one of many cities across Louisiana that took part in the state’s beautification competition. Pineville managed to beat out such cities as Abbeville, Bogalusa, Jennings and Reserve in the finals of their population classification.

LGCF President Jeanette Gatzman is set to present Pineville Mayor Clarence Fields with the designation at Pineville City Hall on June 15th at 12:15 p.m.

Pineville won its first State award in 2003 and has repeated it in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017.

It would definitely not be clean if LSU was still there.

Bogalusa? It’s a freaking dump! What the hell? Trash everywhere. (Both on the ground and the walking and breathing version).

That's how it stays clean! Nothing to do, so none of the typical trash bearing cretins of the state are around. In Louisiana, popular = trashy!

Nothing against Pineville. But it had beat out Bogalusa for this award I would love to see the criteria. It honestly no joke when people talk about what a shite hole that place is.

Kinda easy to clean when there’s nothing there.

But in all honesty- Alexandria in general is depressing as fuch.
