Arnie being the Cock of the Walk at Augusta National.

1973 Cadillac El Dorado Convertible

Front wheel drive 500 cubic inches generated a measly 235 hp.

9,135 of them were manufactured, there’s probably not 10% of those left.

A bunch were sold in the rust belt and most of those are now iron oxide.

Neighbors had a white ‘74, I know.

Parents had a ‘70 dark red Sedan de Ville, ox blood interior.

Straight fiya aesthetically, build quality and mechanically it left much to be desired.

1973 was the year they choked down the horsepower for the sake of emissions.

my dad was a Ford guy and he had about five Lincolns over a few years but bought a Caddy one year for my mom, beautiful big old land barge but that thing fell apart in no time, huge POS, that was however, at a time where the quality of US auto manufacturing was nothing to brag about

The Union Pacific experimented with turbine locomotives until the early 1960s.
Here is one of their last ones. GE built these things.... in America.

first known tornado photograph, 1883

There is a belief that the photo, over time, was doctored or a fake.

This photo is slowly getting accepted as the oldest tornado photo. It was taken by a farmer in Kansas in 1884. This assumes that the photo in the preceding post is a fake (though it has been published in 100's of books over the years as legit).

Wojtek the Bear was adopted in 1942 by the Polish II Corps’ 22nd Transport Company from an Iranian boy in exchange for food. He served alongside the soldiers in the Italian Campaign, where they rewarded him with bread, beer, and marmalade for his companionship
