My husband and I were talking about this the other day. I think the majority of these kids will look back at their "trans phase" and cringe. Trans is the new emo.

So you get a massive gay group with few people who are actually gay.

Kids/teens, especially ones that aren’t “popular” look for ways to get attention/find their niche.

Trans is just the new emo from the 2000s or goth from the 80s etc. Just a way to “stand out” / go against the flow / get attention

In 2017-2021 the amount of US kids on puberty blockers covered by insurance went from 600 to 1300 and on hormone replacement therapy from 1900 to 4200. While that's a big increase, it's still only 0.012% of kids in that age group. So that's a miniscule % of kids actually undergoing treatment.

Explain “normal” parents who think they need to transition their young children, because…?

It's absolutely a manifested mental derangement trend. The losers that are trying to explicate this as real science see this as another way to subvert the traditional family, and simply, reduce population. The kids need serious intervention, while the politicians advocating it as normal need prison sentences.

Kids are remarkably impressionable. The age group studied by Hossenfelder is pretty much the same age group studied in the infamous Monster Study (they were ages 5-15). Influences pushed and then reinforced on such young children tend to have lifelong lasting effects.

That's why pushing this topic in schools is so incredibly dangerous. It's an age group where those members generally feel out of place as part of the maturation process and then we're introducing a philosophy that basically says "you feel that way because of x, just start doing y and everything will be great again" and they buy it.

AND THEN... if there is regret, you simply do not talk about it.
