I have a phone interview tomorrow for a position that I am qualified for. Due to being laid off and rejected at countless positions since, my confidence is nowhere near what it has always been. I was laid off a few months ago. I have not been able to find anything since, and this may be my last hope. I do not want to go back to school, but I feel I may have no other options soon. I am calling on my best friends here at TigerDroppings. What are your best interview/specifically phone interview tips? Give me every shred of advice that has helped you. I will also take every prayer, good vibe, toke, drink, or whatever you send my way to help me get this job.

TIA

Rub one out beforehand

Best of luck. I know what it’s like being out of work for so long.

I did go back to school eventually.

Shouldn't be any different than in person as far as questions, etc. Be confident in your answers, but don't fake the confidence.

Good luck

Oil and gas. I have thought of the shot of bourbon beforehand but I am afraid that may do more harm than good.

Jerk off right before the interview.

Best advice ever.

Jerk off DURING the interview for OT Baller status.

Go to sleep now. Assuming interview is before 10am. Have coffee, a piece of toast and write down questions.

You seem to be hung up on the fact that you’ve been laid off. Down play that and speak with authority and confidence. Believe in yourself and don’t cast any doubt into the interviewers mind. Tell them you are the right person for the job. Ask them what the next steps are and where you stand against the others prospects. If you’re not number one then ask what it will take to get you on the top of this list then prove you belong at the top. Good luck baw.

If it’s a chick, ask her what she’s wearing.

If it’s a guy, ask him what he’s wearing.

Stand during the interview. The motion of standing and walking will help you project your voice better.

Gotta have answers to all the questions they may ask. Be prepared to talk about anything on your resume. Have a few stories prepared about times you were a leader or solved a problem. Be ready to talk about why you’ve been out of work for so long. Have questions to ask them about the company and its operations as well (read their website).

Actually take a shite while you’re interviewing. My creativity kicks in while I’m dropping a deuce.

Make sure your nanny knows to keep your kid(s) out of your home office for the interview.

I’ve only had one and I don’t think it went that well I never got a call back. The good news is your applications are being looked at and it’s only a matter time at for something turns up
