Every single time I’ve refilled my heart medication with Walgreens for the past 6 months I’ve had to wait for it to come in because it was on back order.

And it’s been like this for years and is finally coming to a head.
My birth control has been changed about 6 times in the last 5 years because of shortages for brands. I take it to keep my endometriosis in check. I had to go without one once and ended up anemic from the heavy bleeding I had for almost three weeks straight when they were out of them.

And India. Safety and effectiveness have been significantly since they’ve started making all the generics. I read a great book about about it but can’t remember the name. The FDA is unable to effectively QA their product or practices. Kinda scary because we all take generics when offered.

Seems to me that all essential drugs should have U.S., Canada or Mexico manufacturers. This should be true for a lot of other essentials.

Frankly, I think this is a load of bullshite. I’m on a pretty good bit of meds, and I have recently refilled them all without issue. In fact, supply chain issues in general, seem to be freeing up nicely. Hell, I even saw a fully stocked aisle of toilet paper in the grocery store this morning.
