So true. I remember going to the Jesuit versus west Monroe semi finals game in I believe 1997. Jesuit had a great team but got smashed, those West Monroe row players were all 6’8 and probably 19 or 20 years old.

Their dance team uniforms are awesome too. I saw them at the dome last year and was blown away at the community support and full on college level pageantry from the team, dance team, band, students, fans. It was awesome. Most high schools are so boring and bland. West Monroe actually has a cool culture for a high school.

I'll never forget playing them at their house warming up then all the sudden a cannon fire, rebel yell and them SOBs coming out the woods. Crazy, but freaking AWESOME

Flags have been banned from campus since 2015. Anything to do with the Confederacy has been removed from the school. The only thing left was Dixie and supposedly it’s gone as well. West Monroe just uses the WM for everything now.

No I was asking if you were thinking of Pineville. WM is in the middle of town. There’s no woods, no cannon, no Rebel Yell. More like the team walking down the hill from the Fieldhouse with In the Air Tonight playing.
