They are actually right on this. I'm not anti-cat but cats that free roam the streets massacre the birds and other animals in the local ecosystem.

Birds aren’t real

quote:We can compare if you like.
Vehicles and road traffic roadkill countless animals but we don't walk everywhere we go over that.
Cats in the USA kill upwards of 4 BILLION birds a year.
Roadkill is estimated at ~365 million animals per year.
And that is all animals, from small, like lizards, to large, like deer.
The comparison isn’t even close.
Cats suck.
This topic doesn’t even address the amount of other animals that cats kill.

Also, let's compare the solutions:
1. Stop all motor vehicle transportation
2. Keep your pet cats inside

My daughter’s cat hasn’t killed a single bird. But if we’re talking moles and cicadas, he’s a full blown Ted Bundy serial killer.

The first time I will ever agree with them.

Cats are the spawn of Satan and should be exterminated.
Seriously though, between cats and fire ants, ground nesting birds in LA don't stand much of a chance.

Apparently, cats kill between 7 and 20 BILLION small animals in the USA alone every year.
Yea, good comparison there to cars.

Oh, I’d know. He brings his kills and lays them at the bottom of our back steps like they’re his trophies.

Ok.
Why can't we discuss this one? And its an easy solution.
"We shouldn't fix one problem because there are other problems" is a really dumb way to go through life.

or the building of larger buildings and having tons fly into the glass each year.
natural selection is a thing - I do not advocate my cats being outside at all, but if they get there way about cats, they will go after every other thing that kills anther animal.

They've been full retard for years

Varies by state, but between 60 to 90% of cats in the US are indoor only.
Compare that to Europe, where only 15 to 35% of cats are indoor only (varies by country).
So yeah maybe PETA can take that up with the people across the pond.

The only reason people have an issue is because these childless cat ladies love their fur babies so much.

They kill ~1 million annually.
Compared to 4 billion by cats.
Next comparison?
