I went to HS with a couple that's been dating since the 10th grade. They've lived together since graduating and are now in their early 40s. Still not married

I can understand getting married 2-3 times. People end up meeting better people after they make mistakes in their first marriages. I know some people lose their spouses and eventually remarry, so that is understandable.
I just cannot comprehend people getting married 8/9 times. My parents are still happily married (38 years), they love each other so much. If they ever did get divorced, they would never marry again. This is it for them.

Is guess some people see it like eating a Pringle. Why eat one when you can eat the whole can?

The most I know of is four times. Can’t imagine being married and divorced seven times.

My wife is hot but she'd kill me if I posted a pic of her on this site. Her sister used to be hot but isn't anymore.

There is no story. Because I've never been married twice, much less 9 times.

My dad. On his 7th marriage, although this one has lasted 30+ years. Has 23 kids that we know of, some of which are less than 30 years old.

Seriously?

Those older folks get married a bunch because "living in sin" just wasn't done. Think of the people you know who have lived with more than one s.o. Same idea.

I think we’d all appreciate a timeline here. That’s interesting. I wonder how rare it is to have your 7th marriage last that long.

I say this again:
I love being married to my wife but if something ever happens and I’m single again, I’ll never get married again.
I don’t understand people that keep doing it
