I’m gonna go out on a limb and suggest that representatives for a utility company brandishing firearms in someone’s yard wouldn’t go over well for said representative or the longevity of the company you are representing, regardless of what you’re driving

I’m not digging through 8 pages to see if someone else has said it, but I just can’t believe that they did that in one work shift, lol.

Just wait until they turn the power on to the transmission lines.

Hopefully you aren't hiring illegals. ATT just ran fiber optic in our neighborhood with no warning. We had no idea who they were or what they were doing. Went out to ask the young guy digging and he couldnt speak english. Ultimately they severed our cable line and our gas line. Had a firetruck and 15 Atmos trucks in front of our house from noon until after midnight.

Similar experience in our neighborhood. These guys gave no shits. They used my yard and driveway apron to anchor the boring unit. Caused some damage I just didn’t have the energy to complain about, I wasn’t even sure who was doing the work, and couldn’t communicate directly because the language barrier

They knocked out a main sewer line (utility owned) in the pouring rain and the Roto rooter guys that came to fix it were pissed. They tore up the entire street with ruts. Disrupted some other lines along the way. They came back a week or two ago and crudely sodded the ruts they had made in June. All of this is just on my street with 5 houses. Damaged waterlines all over the hood.

This is after the Vexus project that was maybe 5 years ago. What’s the point of a utility if different competing companies are going to just continue tearing shite up.

I don’t brandish anything it’s for protection from overzealous residents and if I hadn’t said anything you’d never know we have them. Apparently you have no idea how crazy the general population can be we’ve had four incidents of people pulling guns on guys in the past year and that’s about average every year and if you think any of us are worried about the longevity of a company as opposed to our own longevity on this planet you are sorely mistaken. None of us are dying for your water or internet etc. we just want to do our job and go home. You sound like a democrat that hates 2a.

We allowed this and other frickery by governments and utility companies.

they can get away with it, because its on the easement we gave up to cities.

They can take your land for data centers, strip malls, etc and pay you pennies on dollar, if you get paid at all

WE ALL ALLOWED THAT

Or... we can start burying hem so we don't have to have $50K giant utility poles in every front yard and trim the beautiful oak and magnolia trees like shite every couple of years. I get not doing it on side streets but Perkins is a large thorough fare.

Energy companies pretty much do what they want in the easement. I know a guy who wanted to cut a tree down in his front yard that was in the easement. He could not because the energy company's compromised pole is tied to the tree with a 3 inch diameter rope for support.

Public Service Commissioner Davante Lewis has been looped in on the situation and went to look at the pole himself. He remains in contact with Buras.

No sweat of his back.
Looked at it. Said that sucks.
My check clears friday and went home.

Laughing to the Bank.
