Ha, what a timely thread. the sites I order pipe tobacco from also carry a lot of cigars, so on this last order I decided to pick up a few singles. Including Perdomo’s 20th anniversary Connecticut, a lot 23 and a habano bourbon barrel aged. I’ve never tried a perdomo before. Hope I enjoy it without getting sick.

One of my favorite days is a Saturday on the back patio, great cigar (or two) in hand and a bourbon… watching college football with the grill and fire pit going into the night… finish it off with the meat sweats and an ice cold beer. Sleep.

…. and it’s coming soon…

Si, senor.
The Arturo Fuente Hemingway's & the 8-5-8's & the Opus X drew me into the world of fine cigars many years ago.

I love Perdomos, but always think it’s funny that people recommended the 10th anniversary champagne for beginners. Those will knock you on your arse if you aren’t careful

The pic and save is not known for quality cigars.

Try the cherry blend black and mild tiparillos next time.

I love Perdomo.

Met Nick last month. He’s a huge Alabama fan.

20th Connecticut
10th Maduro

Those are my go tos. Not a Sun grown fan.

If you can find it, try Perdomo’s 30th Anniversary in Sun Grown. I’ve tried them all and that’s my favorite blend of theirs. Pipers Haven in Lafayette has a bunch of 30th Anno options. Most places online only have the basics or 10/20 yr.

Perdomo habana that’s bourbon barrel aged is a great stick that won’t knock you on your arse. For a milder flavor one, the champagne ones are fantastic.

I really have enjoyed the perdomos I have tried, and the owner seems like good people. I mostly smoke boutiques though, because I love the unique flavor profiles they experiment with.

Southern Draw has become my favorite brand. You should explore their line. Amazing stuff

Perdomo Champagne are some of the best mild cigars on the market. It's one that's on my regular rotation. Not sure which Perdomo you have smoked but, I've never really had that much of a nic-kick from them. If you do get sick from them, put a tablespoon of sugar in your mouth and let it dissolve, sugar counters the sick feeling effect of nicotine.

For me it's usually dominican cigars that make me queasy, not every one, but dominicans are usually the ones that get me.

Had a really nice H. Upmann No. 2 last night. Getting kind of low on those and with the price of Cubans these days, I'll likely never get them again. Going to really miss those when I burn through them all.

Oh, yeah.

I’d bust into that like the damn Kool Aid Man.

I have smoked probably 5 cigars a week, on average, for the last 30 years and I have never felt any sort of buzz from one. I have a friend who can smoke about 10% of any cigar and be sick as a dog LOL. I know people who obviously get a slight buzz from a cigar but I haven't ever...

Cigars are fairly un-annoying when burning properly but they all stink to high heaven just a few minutes after they are put out. Leave a stubbed out butt on the porch over night and the whole yard will smell like shite the next morning.

Preach brother. Watching college football at night with the fire pit going, a cigar and some brown water (single malt for me ) and I ain't sure life gets much better with your britches on....
