I mean, I don't dare like or comment on any comment in these Facebook posts because I don't want my name mentioned on here. I've seen too many people critiqued to death. But y'all tend to be equal opportunity, ripping apart both men and women. Case in point: Gravy. My self preservation instinct on here isn't because I'm a woman.

Bring back bears and elephants. Then invest in a Large primate exhibit.
I think the scientific name is Hominidae aka the BIG frickING MONKEYS. Everyone from Br remembers going to the Zoo jsut to see the red-assed Mandrill who'd lose his shite if you flipped him off or pointed at him.
Kids and adults naturally flock to the gorillas and chimps(Doesn't Tulane have some Chimp Vets close enough to support an exhibit?).

I know but I'm saying moving it along the 12 or 10 near Oneal or Blue Bayou would be a clusterfrick to get to and from. The current location is NOT the problem. Funding, management and BREC focusing on splash-pads and stupid parks in the middle of nowhere have caused the decline.
eta: I'm a big fan of BREC as BR natives tend to take for granted what a great public park system we have. But now is the time to refocus on the Zoo.
