When grasshopper becomes adult, only then will it learn the value and peace in cleanliness, discipline, and work.

Some people find joy in staying busy and get depressed when there's nothing to get done or no task to complete. Some just enjoy being outside doing manual labor because it's a change from sitting in an office all day. There's plenty of reasons why.

I don't dislike yard work, but I love looking at a finished product.

Maybe they hate golf and festivals so yard work is the only option they don’t hate?

My back is telling me that the 2,000 lbs. of dirt I moved around yesterday getting my beds ready was no fun.

I have six cubic yards of top soil and 1.5 pallets of sod being delivered tomorrow morning. My wife and I are going to Jack White tonight so my head will probably hurt worse than my back tomorrow. She'll be right there along side of me putting down the soil and sod. Hitting the Southlake Arts Fest after we're through with the sod.

I don't care about golf, and too damn many people at festivals. I'm not a big yard work guy, but given the choice between yard work and having to go somewhere, I would do yard work.

It gets baws out of the house and away from nagging Mrs. Baws. Plus, it gives some a sense of pride in keeping up something. Sorry that you lack ambition and discipline.

Sorry that you lack the resources to hire a yard crew and join a country club to get away from your Mrs. Be a little more ambitious man.

You must be my neighbor, the lazy one everyone in my hood complains to the HOA about not keeping up his yard. The inconsiderate one who lets his pussy cat out to crap in my well manicured flower beds. You are the reason I planted those big bushes between our property line to hide your trashy arse yard. Yeah, I hate your kind.

I am a CC member, so can certainly afford lawn maintenance. What's your point again?

But why would you do that (unless it's twins)?

I have a brother and sister that are 11 months apart. Well I had.

I do yard work because I like it, my wife does to and it’s good exercise. And I get a cold beer, a brisket on the smoker and hop in the pool when done.
