WTF is wrong with them. In this case, it's Definitly not a control thing or a seniority thing in this case. This person has been told by coworker's and managers for the past 3 weeks and still only just did it today. All he had to do was ask someone to edit one word on a document. 3 weeks for fricking that.

Just because it's simple doesn't mean it is a high priority for them.

If it was that simple why didn't you just do it?

Why don't you run to social media and cry about it?

so you had to tell someone to go tell someone else to edit a single word on a word doc?

Is it your hope that this person reads this website and pieces together that you're talking about them?

Seems like a roundabout way of talking to them about it, coward.

Process/Procedure Change Management has to happen slow. It's in the union contract.

How big of a word was this? Are we talking monosyllabic, Latin in origin, compound? We need details to assess this situation.

I thought this was going to be about things like you tell your child to clean their 12'10' room and they take 2 hours just to put their toys away, or something along those ines.

One Acronym. But the programmers said a programmer had to make the update.

The person in question apparently didn't perceive the task as a high priority.

Having said that, people who actually execute tasks work at varying rates. For instance, women are notorious for taking a long time to get ready to do many things due to appearance consciousness while men often do a simple task like walking the dog without even thinking about brushing their hair.

An acromyn isn't a word, jackass. Maybe that's why it took three weeks, he had to decode your bullshite to see what you actually wanted. Maybe be a little clearer next time and not so quick to judge.
