Save your quarters and move out of the trailer park and get your own pool table.
Buying your own pool table is like your wife wanting a piano.
They become show pieces.
No one i know, who has a pool table, even uses it more than maybe 1-2 times a year, and only if family comes in for a holiday.
Everyone wants a pool table/foosball table , and it becomes less used than the Wives elliptical, she wanted for xmas.

Haha. Funny you say that, my wife inherited a 50 year old piano from her grandmother and we had to pay $1000 to have it moved from Crowley to New Orleans. We had it tuned and everything. My kids were taking piano lessons at the time so once it was set up they played on it for a couple years but it’s just been sitting there for the past 3-4 years and not one person has played on it.
But is a nice show and conversation piece when company comes over.

Fight? Just ignore him.
Putting quarters on a table doesn’t reserve anything.

As I recall, they still have to beat the player(s) that have the table to "steal" it.
Otherwise, they are just reserving a place in the line after those player(s) leave.

How dare others want to use the one pool table that you've been hogging all night.

Take some lessons yourself. It doesn't take years and years to do a passable Great Balls of Fire or Right Place, Wrong Time or Bennie & the Jets The main key is to pour with a heavy hand before you ever take the stool. I suck at piano but hundreds of people have told I should be playing for a living. Drunk bastards.
Oh, and in a civilized world putting quarters up on a table is a completely acceptable way to challenge for the table. Slamming them down. . . , eh, could be playful, could be douchey.

No. The worst is people who stop 3 car lengths behind the car in front of them then roll forward a bit then stop, roll forward a bit then stop, roll forward a bit then stop.
JUST PULL UP BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU AND STOP SO WE CAN ALL RELAX FOR A MINUTE!

Might as well pee on the corner pocket. These drunk fools aren’t worth fighting over for a stupid arse pool table but shite that might be peak trashy.
It’s been a very long time, but isn’t this just normal etiquette? Throw down quarters and offer to play the current party for the table next game?

if you are at a little bar with one pool table then that's the etiquette. You and your baws cant hog the table all night. If its a pool hall with multiple tables then you have right of way to tell him to piss off.

Just sit down and have a heart to heart with the man. Explain to him the situation and ask him nicely to leave and come back when you are done playing.
