working at restaurant I didnt mind people coming in at closing. Minded if they stayed and made a huge fricking mess long after we were closed.

They probably get a bonus based on sales if a high-end suit place, or work on commission, now had he not bought anything then that would be a dick move.

Most of the time my phone is off anyway.
Your phone is always sending loc messaging to the tower and sitting in idle mode until you do something like talk , text, or use an app. Which pretty much everyone does in the car.

I agree, but sometimes there is no choice. In those cases, tip everyone generously.

In my experience, the worst offenders are
1. Middle aged white women (trashy) - very likely to not buy anything and act rude as hell when you guide them to the front. Very likely to dump a cart full of stuff in the floor. If they get to the register, will dispute the price of everything and still not buy anything.
2. "No habla" - will buy 20 things (all cheap) while their kids run around and destroy the store.
We're generally in a payroll crunch, so if customers ruin things before close, it just gets pushed to the next day and ruins the experience of tomorrow's shoppers.

I very rarely text. I hate most apps. I keep my phone off quite a bit. I block locations, I think.
I'd like to go to a training course on cell phones to educate myself on how to keep people out of my cell phone.
My Dad gets infuriated because my cell phone is off or I don't answer it. "What if there is an emergency?" Call my house. Call the farm. Have the police or sheriff come get me.

Walked into Advanced auto at 7:50 and they close st 8:00. Need a battery tested and if necessary, installed on site. They test and install free...
They first looked up a new battery and the older employee of the 2 said “you got 6 mins” to the younger guy helping.
Outside he says the battery seems good and alternator is good too. We mentioned we may get a new battery now knowing it is has been weakening over time .
As we go in the old guy says 2 mins. Young guy asks us to come by tmo.
I say we’ll head to Walmart and pay $40 less for the same thing. C u later. Autozone hustles you out of,there to clock out. No chance you get a welcome to get a pleasant and complete experience.

I see the point you’re trying to make but these two examples leave me to believe that you’re 18 and have never worked in any of these environments before....

Spot fricking on. Trying to cut OT on a Saturday or Sunday is just a nightmare too.
