How does the temp change the taste?

Your taste buds are inhibited/changed at colder temperatures. Hence why chilled alcohol has less flavor and loses some of its bitterness. Or cold fruit juice/Gatorade/etc. tastes less sweet. Salty elements of dishes are apparently stronger as temperatures get colder, so cold doesn’t necessary always reduce flavor profiles. I think in the case of water though the more “mineraly” aspects aren’t tasted as much at colder temperatures so you get a relatively neutral flavor. And in hotter temperatures cold water is refreshing so many peoples bodies(especially in South Louisiana) have possibly adapted to perceive that as a better “flavor”.

I’m pretty sure room-temperature water is healthier for you.

Room temp is fine with me. If it's hot outside I like cold but I don't want a pile of ice in my water. Or in my bourbon. 2 rocks is plenty.

Cold water is absorbed by your body faster than warm water due to the “ temperature gradient. ”. Cold goes to heat. Cold water goes thru your stomach lining quicker. That’s wh6 you feel bloated if you drink a bunch of warm water.

Water hose temperature is the best.

You’ve gotta run it for a few seconds first though, otherwise you get that water that’s been sitting in the hose pipe and heated by the sun.

I don't care if you drink it cold. I prefer room temp. An acupuncturist told me that cold water was bad for your system.

What does ice-cold water do?

Causes you to burn calories warming it up internally.

regardless of what people say, the majority of the time, people drink room temp water because their teeth are sensitive.

I drink water too fast for it to be ice cold.

Secondly, if we are talking about public places...

Here is a quick question for you, do you think the ice maker has ever been cleaned? Rhetorical, it has not been cleaned.
