I’ve always heard that your body has to warm it up before it can be absorbed, so a smaller portion of it actually rehydrates you as some of it moves further along the digestive tract. I don’t know if this is true or not. I drink it out of the tap and rarely use ice. I like ice in other drinks though

I drink almost all my drinks ~room temp.
I like my wine chilled and I like beer cold but not ICE cold.

This. It’s uncomfortable to drink super cold drinks. I don’t care for ice cream for the same reason. I also don’t like super hot coffee. Some people guzzle that shite and I don’t know how they don’t get third degree burns on their mouth.
Interestingly I like my weather hot and humid and my food, the spicier the better, but not temperature hot.

My espresso machine put it out at the absolute perfect drinking temp.
Getting a coffee from a PJs, Starbucks etc is fricking terrible because that shite is insanely hot.

A friend who lived in Malaysia for years told me the people there rarely drink chilled drinks, because when it’’s hot and you drink something that is chilled you body generates more heat to stabilize temperature.
