It's not against the law everywhere. If it was against the law then that's a different story.

Calm down cowboy. Nobody was inconvenienced. It was a low traffic street in a residential neighborhood. The street was wide enough for 2 vehicles to be parked on the curb directly across from each other on opposite sides of the street and any traffic passing by would still have PLENTY of room. And perfectly legal to park on the street in my area.

It's illegal most places, just not enforced

What kind of dumb do you have to be? Drive way space available. Let me park in the entire lane.

Most HOA's have an ordinance about parking on the grass. I got a ticket for doing it once. Never again

You don't get that this thread isn't about a situation like that? Eliminate the two middle lanes in your second pic and then there's a problem.

It's in neighborhoods with two lane streets that this is an issue.

In Orleans Parish you will get a ticket if the Parking *itch*s are out and see you getting within a certain number of inches of a driveway, if you park even an inch over the sidewalk as it abuts your driveway, or if they are having a bad day.

Just make sure no part of your car's tires are on my grass, and we'll be just fine.

Bunch of Neanderthals.

I thought this was only enforced by request.

In New Orleans, parking in the middle of the street is just called "parking".

No one gives a shite about your hassle either.

I think it's against the law to park on the street for more than 24 hours where I live... but how is that really enforceable unless it's a car that's obviously not in condition to drive?

what trashy neighborhood do you live in that it's acceptable to park your car on your lawn?

Some neighborhoods are street parking only. No driveways or garages, not even garages in the alleyway between backyards.

Some of you are freaking weird. There are quite a few legitimate reasons for parking in the street, as opposed to the driveway.

There is a hood in Kenner where dudes park their wheels on the street. About 11 pm, they have a movable 8 foot basketball goal in the center of the street playing ball. On night I was driving my car down the lane and almost hit a dude. His homeboys called me for traveling.
