It comes out of the fountain cold.

I don't like my drinks iced down. I keep water, tea, sodas, and such in the fridge because I abhor watered down drinks. The only time I use ice in a drink is when I use two big cubes in my bourbon.

Duplicate post; my bad; I'll blame it on my crappy lap-top.

If you like finishing your drink then waiting for the ice to melt to drink water, then yes.

It doesn't

Just was curious where the OT stood on this important subject

You could just realize that different people do it for different reasons, some "trashy", and some because they prefer it that way

You have been labeled "trashy" by the experts on this board who, for some reason, have a problem with someone who does not want ice in his non-alcoholic beverage. I'll tell my 80 year old mother, who prefers her order for "water without ice" that she must be "trashy", too.

i know, these people are ridiculous. I hate when im at a restaurant and the ice melts when i do not drink my drink fast enough and it becomes watered down. Ice dilutes the flavor of the drink more than anything which is why i prefer minimal or no ice

The rare time I do order a soda I tell them little ice because 1. I'm at a drive through and I wont be coming back for a refill and 2. I don't want to take 5 sips and the drink is already gone. I guess I'm OT trashy

Canes will fill up your entire cup with crushed ice and you only get like 4 slurps out of it. The drinks coming out of the machine are already cold.

I don't eat at Canes, but I do like to go light on the ice so I can get more drink

If you're getting drinks without ice, I strongly doubt that you can afford to eat at a restaurant.

Huh? Refills are free at most restaurants. Diluting your drink with loads of ice, for no reason, is an American thing. I mean, are you burning up hot in the restaurant?

If you're talking about people ordering soft drinks to-go with no ice, then yeah its for the sole purpose of getting more soda. They're probably putting ice from home in the drink. Kinda trashy but crafty.

When I was in Mexico, I always made sure my soft drinks never had ice. I was paranoid about getting that shitting disease that's in their water. I wonder what the Mexican OT said about me.

y'all do realize ice machines at restaurants are one of the dirtiest things possible. They are rarely evenly cleaned.

The only times they're cleaned is when they break and need to be repaired. Also, I've been inside ice machines half full of ice several times.

I prefer everything cold except coffee or hot chocolate. During the winter I still use ice and drink cold liquids.

What's trashy about paying for a 22 oz drink and getting 22 oz of the drink instead of 8 oz + Ice?
