I've spent some time working overseas and really this is my biggest issue I would have moving full time. I just couldn't get used to that

I plan on moving out of the country in a few years when I retire. It will either be Costa Rica or Panama. I will be moving back once I am eligible for Medicare.

Seems the standard of life is pretty low compared to the US everywhere but maybe Canada, England, and Australia from what I’ve heard

I've drank more alcohol in Singapore than some bars will ever serve.

I left when a friend of mine committed suicide right after he flew his wife out to see him... And she said she was leaving.

All you do is work, drink, and sleep with Asian women of questionable character. You find expats like you and you share the bests parts of where you're from with each other. Which sounds great... Until you realise you're completely alone. And not a single native motherfricker over there gives two shits about you beyond your wallet.

Call it burning out, Idk. But I took a long time off when I got back to just get my head straight.

First time I came back was because I was promoted to a position at our corporate office. The last time I came back was because the contracts where I was finished. I'll most likely be going back overseas again this year. I enjoy working international.

Are you currently living in London? I have fantasies about living in that city, the fact being is one of my favorite European cities. It's just a day dream I guess, London is incredibly expensive, specially housing.

I've been to other countries, some of them for several weeks, and the only one I liked even half as much as Mississippi was Mexico.

The UK, Canada, Norway, most of continental Europe... you can keep 'em. Cold, depressing places.
