People Who Grow Up In A Household That Teaches False Information

I am reading this book titled 'Educated'. Here is a link to the author's website and information about the book.
LINK
Its her memoirs about her life and it is pretty crazy.
She lived in Idaho in the middle of nowhere. She has 7 siblings (or maybe 6), but her dad was a nut. He didn't believe in anything related to government. He didn't send his kids to school because it was funded by the government. He thought that if they went to public school they would become part of the Illuminati.
So the girl who writes the book (her memoirs) only knew of what her parents taught her. They didn't believe in going to doctors, instead the mom made herbal medicine. Her dad was 100% sure the world would end at 12:00AM 2000 to the point when it didn't happen he was upset.
She ends up scoring a 28 on her ACT and was able to get into BYU, so it took her awhile to adjust. The family only took baths on Sundays, she never heard of the Holocaust before.
Her dad taught the kids his history from a book he put together. She was taught that slaves lived better than their masters. She worked in her dad's scrapyard and one day had black all over her face, her brother nicknamed her "the N word, but with er". She had no idea what that meant. Thats just a few things, but some of the stuff she experienced and dealt with was insane.
Did anyone on here or anyone on here know anyone who grew up under completely different social norms than the rest of the world? I can't imagine having to come to the realization that everything I was taught since a kid was completely inaccurate.

Sounds like she was taught better than kindergartens being told there’s 500 genders and to pick one, the earth is going to overheat in 12 years, and trannies should be able to watch you pee.

What makes you think it's inaccurate? Maybe those who conform are the ones who are misled.

Yeah, that's what they teach kindergartens.

She didn’t die, made it into a good university, isn’t stripping or sucking dick to get high. Sounds like they did something right.

There’s stories every week about that shite happening in California.
Also tranny reading day at the libraries.

She must have been absent from the N word class. I imagine her brother had perfect attendance.

I am pretty sure teaching your child that if they go to school, do anything outside of what they were taught would be buying into the illuminati is inaccurate.

I dated a girl who was from the country. She moved to the ‘city’ for school.
Her parents didn’t fill her with propaganda or political views and whatnot. She would just spout factually incorrect things. I mean, stuff that wasn’t close to being true, whether it be historical events, geographical information, etc. There was no point in arguing because she said that her mom or dad told her. Therefore, it must be fact.

Apparently he did a pretty good job of teaching her the three R’s. Reading, writing and arithmetic.

Didn’t take long for the self righteous proselytizing athiests to show up and make this a religious thread.
