Inconsiderate people paying a business for service on Christmas. How dare they!

Because they don't want to mess up the kitchen and clean it up, only to do it again on a larger scale the next day.

Man, I wish I wouldn’t have gone out now. Absolutely terrible.
Even though we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant, it took me asking twice after being there for 20 minutes to even get waters and utensils.

Then then took forever to get food. Then, when half of our party was sitting there waiting for their food, and never got the drinks they ordered, we inquired what the issue was…they had never even put their food in, even though it was clearly ordered and we went over the order with the waitress.

I just asked for the check and for what we had to go. Now I have to feed 2 teenagers who are aggravated and nothing is open.

Oh well, spider man was good.

Says the “Data Scientist” who couldn’t get a job for over a year and has been indicted on criminal charges

Why do you care what other people do?

None of the above for us. We just wanted to go out to eat with our friends. Why the frick do you care?

Maybe they leave a big tip trying to make a waiter / waitress have a better Christmas

I left our waitress a $100 tip on a $90 bill, so I'm sure she was quite happy to be working at that moment.

We have been going to Ruth’s Chris on Veterans for the last few years. My kids and sisters kid are older. Had a pretty outstanding cowboy ribeye today.

It’s laid back. After doing all the other shite leading up to Christmas it’s nice to be able to not have to cook again on Xmas day.

Again, not my chart:

Good. Because that list is terrible.

Cream corn moves corn up to elite. Cornbread is also definitely not a hard pass. Sweet potato casserole is money if made correctly. How do they have dinner rolls in the elite category?

Tradition. The server that gets the $100 bill any given year also likes the tradition.

You have 3 options. But didn’t list the actual answer. So I’ll go with d. None of your god damn business.

Maybe neither. Maybe they don’t want to cook even if they have the means since they have relatives who don’t lift a damn finger, contribute nothing, and expect others to foot their bill. Consider this, by the time someone runs all over town buying ingredients for ABC or XYZ dish, cooking, the time spent running the errands, the time spent cooking—all the while doing the whole Christmas deal—why not go out to eat dinner if you’ve got lazy arse family members who don’t contribute at all and show up with their hands out?

When she was still living, MIL always wanted to eat out and never cooked, including Christmas. In fact the oven in her kitchen was used as a filing cabinet for receipts to use at tax time. She never went to cheap restaurants. She would travel to NYC, London and Paris twice a year to go shopping.

Is this “not having the means to cook”?

Sounds like you made a choice too.
