It also doesn't mention a speed limit exception to the prohibition of driving in the left lane.

No, it tells them "slower traffic keep right" saying, if you are slower than traffic, keep right. He was the "traffic" and the car in front was slower.

The car in front was slower than he wanted to go but not slower than the speed limit thus not slow traffic.

quote:

Show me where that was said. All I was implying was that the sign has shite to do with speed. It means what it says, and what the transportation department says it means. SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT.

But there are speed limit signs posted all along the interstate. So its understood that SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT is in accordance to the speed limit.

If someone is being obnoxious and really sitting in the left lane forever then I will flash at them, but I have to be really pissed because it is uber passive-aggressive and people will break check you like assholes.

No it isn't.

But this thread proves what driving 10 minutes on the interstate will teach you, too many drivers don't understand this.

When did I say that? Both dipshits in this case are breaking the law so why is one more acceptable than the other?

If the right lane is open, I will move over. But I am always worried that the knucklehead in the left lane will move over as he/she sees me coming at a faster rate than he/she is driving.

Why was he (Napolean) in the left lane if there was no car in the right lane? Isn't the left lane only for passing?

Why is Napoleon so hard to spell?

I didn't have the dash cam up yesterday (mj2 if you are reading is your $15 dash cam still working, both of mine died) and I cannot and will not try to "win" over the idiots who think left lane camping is OK.
I wanted to pass, he was going slow. I passed right. He could have got over but did not, so I got over and passed on the right.

I was talking about those states that word it SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT or similar.

If you are in Louisiana, then:

quote:

On multilane highways keep right except to pass and move right if blocking overtaking traffic.

Either way, you are incorrect

The point is you were a left lane camping idiot also.

left lane slow-passers (these are the worst because they crawl about .25 mph faster than the car in the right lane until there's about 10 angry cars stacked up behind them..18 wheelers have mastered this passive aggressive tactic by suddenly jumping into the left lane about 2 seconds before you are about to pass.

I concur. I was personally more upset about a guy who did this on the Spillway bridge, than Agro-Altima driver.
All of these things happen constantly.
The point I was bringing up wasn't really slow lane campers or even driving etiquette. Just winder why people got so angry about having light flashed at them.

I would've done the same thing as the dude did to the OP. When people flash their lights or have their brights on behind me, it blinds me, so of course I'll be pissed. It's unnecessary.

Because the speed limit is understood to apply to all driving lanes.

I'll add that I don't mind people that drive fast staying in the left lane. But don't criticize others for doing the same as you.

Sounds like it might be the case. However, if he wasn't impeding anyone behind him, then no harm no foul.
