Flashing lights is not an aggressive move. The "optical horn" is used to tell the driver of the car in front of you to move out of the way for faster traffic.

I don't know, when I have someone coming up behind me fast and flashing their lights at me, it makes me anxious. I wouldn't brake check someone that did it to me and honestly, I would probably just get over but it would still make me anxious.

Also by reading the thread I think a lot of people here have no idea that you are supposed to keep right except to pass.

when a 75 then pulls over to right lane to strictly convenience you, he then will get stuck behind a car going less than 75 all the while him putting himself at greater hazards changing lanes, merging back and forth just for the sake of you not having to be inconvenienced.

To the OP, if someone is in the far left lane then they realize what they are getting into. Not allowing a person to pass or to slow down is a complete douche move. The fact that you got him angry is a win for you.

Yes I pass right all the time. Had he not brake checked or did the thing with his lights and trying to go all fast when I was passing, and his "check" into my land while passing, this would of been nothing. It was just his obvious anger that made me think about this.

my buddy is a miami police detective with an unmarked car.
whenever i visit and we're in the police car he'll come up on a lefthand lane camper and he lets them start their passive-aggressive window washer/brake check bullshite.
then he hits the christmas lights
you've never seen someone suddenly get polite and move to the right so fast in your life.
a-hole douchebags, every one of them.
eta sometimes he takes them all the way to a stop on the right shoulder then goes on by.
this is really entertaining to be a part of.

NC is worse with drivers (women) living in the left lane and usually not needing to flash lights to get them to move over. But if they don't maybe I would.
