Pull in front of them and give them a bath (wiper fluid). It's petty, but satisfying.

Courts can find out if a person was on their phone or connected to the internet at a certain time.

The people in newer luxury vehicles with their phones up to their ears really grinds my gears. I know damn well they have Bluetooth in that thing.

Do you think that the penalties for distracted driving should be stiffened?

They are increasing, slowly, but they are increasing. Unfortunately, it takes a catastrophic event to see change. Driver sentenced to 55Years

If you knew the risk you are putting yourself and those around you in when you pick up the phone you would never do it:
The average text takes about 7 seconds to reply to. At interstate speeds, that is over a football field's length where you aren't looking at the road.
Distracted driving accounts for approximately 25% of all motor vehicle fatalities.

Don't really see many lane swervers around here, but traffic is completely screwed because everyone has their head down and traffic crawls or doesn't even start when the lights change.

I've had to honk my horn six times this week alone because of the chucklefrick in front of me head down in their phone when traffic starts moving.

Well, it depends.

Do you always wear a condom?

Better than watching virtual porn in the children's section of the library and forgetting to plug in your headphones.

How in the hell do so many people driving newer luxury cars especially not know how to utilize blue tooth technology, when I know good an damn well they have that at their disposal, yet still continue to put that devise up to their ears?

Why does this bother you? At least they are not looking at their fricking phone.

People are too comfortable doing it. IMO it's no different than driving drunk. I think people underestimate the awareness you really should give when driving. You are in charge of a piece of equipment that weighs about 4000 lbs moving at.. I'd say, on average, anywhere between 25mph - 75mph+.

While doing so, you have to be aware of others who are doing the same, be able to quickly process the correct reaction at any given moment, watch out for other people not in vehicles, etc.

This is something I made myself get used to doing, but once I am on the road I forget about the phone. Nothing is more important at that moment. If you do need to use your phone.. Pull over or pull into a parking lot. I know everyone is in a rush all the time, but you prioritize. Don't use while driving and if getting somewhere is more important than anything else, then wait until you get there to use your phone.

It's horrible. Even those that don't drift from side to side usually slow down and impede traffic.

People have all kinds of stupid irrational fears. However they give no thought to texting and driving. I guess they dont connect the dots that driving is one of the most dangerous activities you participate in daily.

I used to be guilty of it when I was younger. Now there is not a chance in hell I want to kill somebody else. I dont touch my phone when I drive.

Right. Even people who fear flying. You have a greater chance of being in a serious wreck in your vehicle, yet it's something people do without thinking about it..

Sure. Increase penalty to 10 years.
Like using a gun in a burglary.

And let people shoot at them from parking lots.

I think if we can shoot people while texting and driving less will do it around town.

And you can tell if some texted at x o clock.
