Catholics don’t pray to Mary, they pray to God that Mary might intercede in their lives and help them.
Sorry. Mary can't help you. She was Jesus' mother but just like us.

Catholics are mean to Jesus. Faith in Him ALONE is sufficient, but Catholics believe faith plus works is needed.

Because everything about being catholic is obligation. The only obligation is to recieve communion, not listen to the priest talk. Once the obligation is over, they can leave. Unless they haven't deposited the check for the week in the bin

All you Catholics are gonna get it up the butt if you haven't already.

I don’t think God’s as petty as most people.

I believe he means that Catholics do not pray to Mary as a deity in the same way that one would pray to/with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Rather, Catholics pray to Mary asking for intercession. Similar to the saints.
quote:
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.
quote:
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Luke 1: 28
quote:
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
Luke 1: 42
quote:
And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
quote:
Holy Mary Mother of God,
Was Mary not the mother of God (Jesus)? Can someone not be holy? Indeed, isn't holiness what all Christians strive for?
quote:
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.
So the prayer is asking Mary to pray for us sinners. Not asking Mary to forgive or anything more.
Doesn't seem that ridiculous to me.

I’ve never heard or read anything about any of the Apostles jetting before the Last Supper was over. So I just don’t know.
They went to Mass so they made there weekly commitment.

James is not saying that justification is by faith plus works, but rather that a person who is truly justified by faith will have good works in his/her life. If a person claims to be a believer, but has no good works in his/her life, then he/she likely does not have genuine faith in Christ
