Most of the time I agree, but I've had people block me in parking over the line. I try to limit the damage as much as I can if at all possible, but I don't have time wait their asses out, sucks but park better.

I don’t care. When my door hits a car or truck it never leaves a mark on MY car. The edge of the door seems to have more paint, or something.

I always try to not hit a door and make effort to put my hand over the pointy end that causes dents when I’m helping my kids in and out. I will admit that in all my years, I’ve accidentally dinged a few doors. Every time was an accident and not intentional.
When I see or find a door ding in my door, I like to think of it as an accident by someone and karma for the accidents I’ve done. Otherwise you just walk around angry about something you really can’t/wont do to change.

Everything is big in Texas except parking spots, which makes no sense with mostly pickups and SUV’s on the road. But to your point, just park like this to keep your vehicle safe.
