There is a ton of info available on this subject. They are better on gas, particularly if you drive in the city often and aren't a heavy footed driver. The starter is a non issue as the tech in place and the starter used are not the same you get in a regular vehicle. And the wear and tear on your vehicle...well, that's a broad statement. But overall that is also not true.

My car has this feature. I turn it off because I find it intrusive. I don’t care if someone else drives with it on though. I don’t see it as a manliness thing

all hybrids do this. The point is to save gas. Why would you want to turn the feature off?

I don't see how anyone could do this in the South Louisiana heat and humidity. I need my AC whether I'm driving or stopped at a light.

It doesn't work like that. The car doesn't completely shut off. At least in the two I own the AC keeps running.

I like them more than the overweight moms who leave their cars running for 45min while they play on Facebook in the car line.

A Mercedes that I rented in Virginia Beach in May did that. I didn't care.

Pretty sure most electric cars do it.

Not a brag because I was just upgraded to the Mercedes.

PHP, seriously? Do you have a crap post quota? You're knocking out a solid 6 lazy-assed, stupid, buzz-killing posts per day. I know its the end of the month but please take a break.

I liked you a lot better when you just lurked.
