I’m not much of a drinker. Why do people care if you drink whiskey with coke or anything else? Does it make you a man to drink it neat? If you add sugar to lemonade or tea are you no longer a man? Drink what you like and mind your own business.

I drink Bushmills and wild turkey neat.
I found what I liked in college and stuck with it.
I don't try anything new (I don't drink that often anyway).
If I want to suck something down, it would be a rum and coke or a beer.
But I like neat whiskey.

I am not a big whiskey drinker, but when I have had it it was straight.
I drink Patron and like it straight. I might put a little water in it sometimes, but it sounds like you should stick to your pretty little girl drinks.

Sorry you cannot enjoy it. I feel the same about beer, but I love a glass of Widow Jane Decadence with chiller stones...no ice to water it down.

Most of the time I like Jameson, Crown Royal and Glenfiddich 12 with a bit of Ice. I drink it before it gets too watered down.

Not much of a whiskey guy but if you adulterate my Scotch with anything more than a few drops of water I will pour it down the sink where it belongs.
