Family only (spouse, parents, kids, siblings) yes.

Everyone else hell no.

I’ve done it too because I’m too afraid to say no to anyone (it’s something I’m working on). But for the most part, a 2.5 hour round trip (twice if you’re picking them up) is a big ask.

When I did it, the pickup time was midnight on a Sunday night/Monday morning.

Holy cow, I need to get you on my Rolodex.

Years of being self-employed has me unable to disconnect time from equaling money. I absolutely relish my time off. Last thing I want to do is re-arrange my day of doing nothing to save you money so you can afford your daily Starbucks. Extenuating circumstances of course is different and you make exceptions.

With Uber and Lyft today...if you are asking anyone except for your immediate family it is very selfish on your part.

It's not that bad, honestly. I stay 30 minutes from the airport. So it's no big deal for me honestly. If someone asks mr a week in advance if I'd be free to pick them up from the airport on Saturday at noon. No problem at all Ill be there. If it's the middle of an LSU as you were saying im not doing that shite unless it's my mom or or close aunts/uncles. If they were on standby and didn't know when they arrived Id tell them to have a back-up plan. Feel free to call me when you land, if Im available cool. If not then sorry, nothing I can do.

It's not that big of a deal for most people. In general, Im not a dick to people, so people ask me for favors and Im allowed to ask them as well.

I have no problem asking a close friend/family member ( neighbors and coworkers dont count here) if they are free to pick me up or take me to airport if theyre available. Besides, I usually leave them with some cash just to say thankyou.

I wouldn't impose on my best friends even if I lived near them, just something you take care of yourself unless maybe you have close family in the neighborhood and even then only if the opportunities to do it go both ways.

I don’t get this. I have dropped people off and have had people drop me off. Don’t see the problem

Not a dick move. Asking someone to pick you up instead of grabbing an Uber is the dick move.

Half you guys saying you wouldn’t are watching this crappy Notre dame Iowa st game on your 3rd mich ultra. Let’s not act like we are all living amazing lives. I don’t have an issue turning someone down, but I don’t think it’s absurd to politely ask someone either.

I got a feeling you're that annoying guy who's always interjecting himself into other people's plans.

I can imagine you sitting in the passenger seat saying "thanks dog, really appreciate it, dog.

maybe some people have lives and don't really want to have to help you be an adult.

I’m a firm believer in: if you can afford plane tickets, you can afford airport parking.

Had a relative ask me to drive 45 minutes each way to pick him up and drop him off at the airport, so he wouldn't have to spend $10 on an Uber each way.

Happened to me when a friend asked way ahead, and I had no idea it was the Sunday of a Super Bowl. That was XXI, that featured the Broncos vs. Giants. That was the first of the Parcells, LT, Phil Sims, Giants SB wins. I was pissed, but it was a good friend. I never complained about it.
