Cameron Parish doesn't have much going for it since hurricanes have devastated it. The LNG facility was the only major industry and the Dems have hurt it.

If we are being honest no one should permanently live in the coastal parishes. We also should blow the levees south of BC but that won't happen either.

Lived in LA all my life, and never thought about leaving until a couple years ago. People getting shot around here all the time. A kid caught a stray bullet visiting relatives on Sunday afternoon on one of the priciest streets in town. Nowhere is safe.
It used to be pretty easy to avoid crime in BR but that's not really the case anymore.

I have told this story before
when we moved from lafayette to katy, tx ten years ago we moved to cinco ranch west. once a month the neighborhood hosts a food truck friday at one of the neighborhood parks. the first time we went we saw more LSU, ULL, LATECH and Saints gear than you would see in our old lafayette neighborhood. LA transplants are everywhere there. the story was people would wear the LA stuff to be identifiable so you would introduce yourself and say where you are from.
that is a lot of professional people with college degrees from LA colleges contributing to the Texas economy
I gave blood today in katy, the two blood center techs were from new iberia and carencro
you dont realize how great LA is but how much of a beatdown it is until you leave there. it breaks my heart but we will probably never move back

This work from home phenomenon is gonna make it real interesting in ten years. All the people with the means and flexibility moving to red states. But will the progs stick around Illinois, California, New York, etc to enjoy the fruits of their votes? Those states are gonna be ruling class and government dependent peasants soon. Just the way the ruling class wants it.

Yeah those places suck and they’ve been smoked by hurricanes lately.

I’ve brought this up numerous times on here and several people are saying they are skeptical about it being a viable and long-term strategy.
A lot of both large and small companies have revised their policies regarding remote work and some have reiterated their position that they work in the office a set amount of days.

They leave because of the lack of job opportunities. Not their fault the state sucks, recent grads weren't able to vote for nearly their entire lives.

Fixed it for you.
Louisiana exists to feed Atlanta and Texas graduates. Some weird ones go to the coasts, but LA policies over the decades created all of this. Residents voted in Babblin' Blanco, JBE, one Landrieu after another, and it's not going to change. The story of Louisiana's demise is older than when Huey Long was governor.
See you at World of Beer at La Centerra for the WBB NC game on Sunday.
